"i have been avoiding the chat all day as its been making me emotional. im going on a similar tangent as @(VolunteerName). ive had significant life changes and being an older gamer found myself wanting to be involved and meeting people with the same interests as those close to me are not gamers. i was also worried as im 46 and was scared it would be all young folk but was relieved and surprised (pleasently) by the diversity and how welcome i was made as a newbie to being a vollie. The support was phenomenal and everyone so nice. Just goes to show you can never discount yourself and i feel fortunate to have been in such a supportive and good crew for a new event, which i hope to be a part of for years to come and also given me confidence to apply for similar events. Seriously solid folk here and glad to be here. also @(Volunteername) thank you so much for the coffee run. it was so kind of you and i hope to return the favour at another event to you or anyone that gets slammed and cant move and needs to be caffeinated.. see yous all at some point again for sure! <3"

"Broken record here, many, many, many thanks to everyone over the weekend! Not a first time volunteer at cons/expos, but my first one back since COVID. Everyone was so amazing, the show went extremely smoothly. Shoutout to the Info and Merch Team @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName) @(VolunteerName)I enjoyed working every single minute with you all and getting to know you. Many many more people I would like to thank, but @(VolunteerName)@(VolunteerName), all the staff, and volunteers, love you all, you've pulled off something fresh that the community needed and wanted! I'll see you around."

"Like many others, it was my first time volunteering at a games con and it was spectacular. The Game Expo has been a great learning experience, from spending time reviewing the handbook to packing a computer monitor in a box. The people I spoke to during the event, from attendees to artists, were all quite friendly and inviting. The cosplay event was a highlight and I really enjoyed the freeplay games, particularly Crazy Taxi and Puyo Puyo (Tetris 2). Of course, the vollies were a great group of people who deserve all the praise. I had pleasant conversations with I believe Doog in HQ and zeldax at the cafeteria. I also interacted with many others on the team who I cannot recall by name due to skipping proper introductions; bunny ears girl, guy with glasses, upside-down burger girl, etc. Special shout outs to Vot and Cariade whose hard work and compassion will be told for generations in tales such as The Legend of Vot and Cariade Chronicles. I will end things off by wishing the best for the team in the future. Keep it real folks!"

"Hey everyone. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for making last weekend a lot of fun. Not many of you knew this but this was my first convention I had ever volunteered for and when I showed up the first day for bump-in, I was feeling a bit alienated.. But as the convention went on, I began to have a lot of fun working with all of you. Volunteering at conventions like this has been a very new experience for me and it’s something that I intend on doing again. Once again, it was lovely to meet you all and thank you for a great weekend. I think we all did really well. For anyone who’s going to Dreamhack, I will hopefully see you there. Until next time!"

"Hey @Volunteers Just wanna say thanks to all of you who helped make this event what it was. As a first time Vollie I was nervous being 35 and joining in with an event and having 0 clue on what to do and or expect. Also alot of you didn't know I lost my brother in Feb and was totally unsure about even turning up- I haven't worked in 2 weeks . I just wanna thank you all for accepting and supporting me. Thanks to the guys in my areas for putting up with consistent bugging you to make sure you are ok and also the dinner breaks on the first day. Thanks for understanding I was literally just playing it all by ear to make sure yo uwere looked after as much as I physically could. Thanks for supporting me and giving me a chance to participate and also lead. I'll leave some feedback once I'm rested I have notes etc. Just got home safe and hungry since I left at 5pm. Signing off for now ( but dm add if you wanna reach out chat or game )"
